The 40th STAR will take place at Sa Riera Building (University of Balearic Islands)
The Balearic Islands University organized the 22nd and the 33rd editions of the STAR conference. The first time in 2001 the conference took place in a central area of the city, in the university building of Sa Riera, and the second took place on the university campus. On this third occasion, the celebration of the 40th STAR conference will take place again in the building of Sa Riera, which has been recently remodeled and adapted, both structurally and technologically.

How to arrive
The congress venue is located approximately 11 km from the Palma airport.
By taxi. You can arrive by taxi (17 minutes) with an average cost of 25 euros.
By bus. You can also use the Line 1 of the Municipal Bus Company of Palma, which leaves from the Palma airport and has a stop located just a few meters from the Sa Riera building at Paseo Mallorca, 38. The bus takes approximately 37 minutes to make the journey Palma Airport-Paseo Mallorca, 38. The average step frequency of this bus is 16 minutes. The price of the ticket (one way) is 5 euros.
Some walking distances to help you to locate the congress venue in the city: the Cathedral is about 17 minutes away, and only 13 minutes away are the Palma Seafront (Passeig Marítim), the downtown (Plaça Major), or the central market (Mercat de l’Olivar).
If you book a hotel in the city of Palma, it will not take more than 30 minutes on foot to reach the congress venue.
